Taxi Defence Barristers has successfully persuaded Transport for London to reverse its decision to revoke a driving licence.

AY’s driving licence was revoked on the grounds of his failure to return the annual medical form relating to his diabetes management. AY did not receive the e-mail from TfL and then had continued difficulties getting a GP appointment.

Taxi Defence Barristers initially lodged an appeal on AY’s behalf to protect his 21 day statutory right and then successfully arranged more time from TfL by opening a dialogue on his behalf.

We then presented his medical evidence with legal argument and submissions. TfL reviewed their position within 48 hours of receiving our submissions and reissued his licence within 24 hours of that. Our client was back working 16 days after instructing us.

AY said:

Thank you for all your hard work and I really appreciate it. I have received my licence and everything is good now. I will definitely recommend your firm to my friends and family in the future. Thank you very much.
